A Little About ME

I love to create. My main obsession is planning cakes that exceed expectations, are completely edible, and come out of either a fairy tale, a fantasy, or a film. These are my creations. I am not a professional cake maker, nevertheless my closest friends and family call me the Cake Queen. If you would like to order a cake please contact me for a cake fit for a Queen!

Over the hill part 2:-)

This is a cake I did after the other over the hill cake, of course you learn a few things and change a thing or two and this is what I came up with! I wanted it to look more like a regular cake from the front so that the back would be a surprise

Fun in the Sun

This was so much fun to make, it was for a little boys swimming party. You have to look close to see everything in the pool:-)

Being 30 is so Surreal

This is a long story, I guess an inside joke...but still it's a cake so it's in the blog:-)

The Golden Goose

Isn't this a fun one? This was for the one year anniversary of a local BNI group, The Golden Goose chapter . I got to attend the meeting, and was very impressed...they were great! After the meeting we celebrated with cake. Thanks to Chad for the invite and the opportunity to create geese, now that was a first! :-)

You'll get a kick out of this one

I was asked to make a soccer ball cake, I was a little nervous because balls are difficult for me, and soccer balls are even more tricky!

Baby Sadie's Blessing

Just couldn't sleep one night and decided that I should make a cake:-) The feet were my favorite!

Winter Wonder Land

Yes, I did a wedding cake, I know crazy huh, who would have ever thought? Not Me!

It's Magic!

It's a piece of cake...almost like pulling a rabbit out of your hat!

Sweet Sixteen and Driving?

Had to make a fun cake for our Fun Nicole! Really... she is 16 already? Am I getting that old? Nothing like a car crashing into your cake to give you a little bit of confidence!

X wing Fighter

I don't know if there is many other girls that know so much about the x-wing fighter!!! Boy, did I do my homework! Thanks to Brothers, Dad, Hubby and Son for all the extra advice! I think together we pulled it off!

Bicycle Built for Two

This is one of my favorites! I was asked to make a grooms cake and the couple definitely had their own special journey, riding their bikes from Provo to Farmington and of course falling in love on the way!

Eight is great!

This was a cake for a baptism...definitely a day to celebrate. My little eight year old was made out of fondant and good practice on sculpting people. Most of her design matched the announcements that she sent out to friends and family about her big day!!!

Nintendo Making a Come Back

Warning: the first photo is very blurry...sorry, but I still wanted to show it. Yoshi is my favorite.

Mario, Yoshi, turtle shells, yup.....Nintendo is making a Come Back. Finally.

Penguin Paradise

My daughter has a seriously love of anything penguin. So she really wished this was for her, but it did a good job of letting some cute boy know that yes, Nicole would go to the dance with him!

With a darling whale of course, spouting a little water. Just for fun!

I think I can, I think I can, I know I can

I got a call from a friend of a friend who wanted a train cake for her two year old's Birthday party. Madsen loved it, and so did his two big sisters. They are in the train on the last car. See in the windows?

I had to at least add the pretzel train track, and popcorn smoke!

Bibbidy Bobbity Boo

Meet Queen Cakes Cinderella.
Isn't she beautiful?
She would not be complete without her pumpkin, bird friends, and mice.
Happy Birthday!

Right Out of a Story Book

This cake was for a Stroy Book themed Birthday Party. The Party was for my darling nephew Jude when he turned one. I also made a cake just for the Birthday Boy to be eaten and destroyed.

What little boy doesn't love a story about a knight and dragon?
Big Bird for the Birthday Boy
The castle with a three headed monster in the moat
The knight and dragon
Finished work.
Obviously Jude (and his mom) loved it!

Over the Hill....I Mean...WAY Over the Hill

This cake was for my Dad's sixtieth Birthday. We had a great Surprise Party and LOTS of cake. He thought this cake was hilarious. I guessed he would because this is right up his alley.

As I said, "WAY Over the Hill"

Good thing he is still hangin' in there. We really don't want the Grim Reaper to come knockin'.

From the front it looks quite peaceful doesn't it. Just an easy uphill climb.
